Sherry Cask - 47%

DESCRIPTION

This is from a 4yo Adams ‘Slosh Cask’ Unknow expression of Sherry, but at an educated guess, oloroso style seems to fit. Some work was need to breath life into this whisky, as at first pour it was a little flat, however, some time in the vat, with a little day time warmth and another spectacular Single Malt Whisky has been born.

47% ABV / 700ml
Product of Tasmania, Australia

Aroma – Dark earthy fruits, plums, currants, and blackberry. Some pepper and all spice

Palate – A pleasant mineral note initially, the quickly some sweet & bold hints of sherry & toast almonds. The oak is perfectly placed mid palate, subtle & balanced.

Finish – A mild oily mouth feel, medium to long finish. Typical earthy fresh forest tones of oak, grasses and roast nuts.
